Influenster Twinkle Vox Box

I recently got the Influenster Twinkle Vox Box. This box had a variety of brands and items for me to try.

Hills Bros. Hot Cocoa K Cups – I have never heard of this brand before, normally getting Swiss Miss or Abuelita brand hot chocolate. I also don’t think I have ever used hot chocolate k cups before. I got a milk and dark chocolate flavor. I have yet to try these, but they will get used!

Reynolds Slow Cooker Liners – This is not a very exciting item but it is useful. We haven’t used our crock pot in ages but it’s possible we will break it out again to test these out.

Covergirl So Lashy! Mascara – Woo hoo for beauty items! This has a very interesting brush which I have never seen before. It looks like it will really separate your lashes. I’m still working through a few tubes of mascara but I generally like the Covergirl brand and will use this.

Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo Unscented – I you have read my post on dry shampoo, then you know that this is my favorite affordable brand. I love having this travel can for trips. I prefer the scented version because it smells so fresh and good, but I can’t complain about this. I love it because there is no white residue and it really leaves me feeling fresh and not oily.

Aquation Daily Moisturizing Lotion – I have never heard of this brand before but it seems comparable to CeraVe or Nivea. This is one of the only full size products in the box (I wish it had been the dry shampoo) and I can’t say I’m all that excited about it. I don’t use lotion a lot but when I do I have lots of bottles of Bath and Body Works scented options. I don’t have sensitive skin so unscented isn’t really necessary. I gave it a try though and found that it was almost a gel consistency and gave an adequate amount of moisture without being greasy.

Oreo Thins – I was hoping this wouldn’t be a travel pack! I like Oreos but never buy them and have always wanted to try the Thins. You get the same great taste but with less calories! What could be better?

Axe White Label Body Wash – There was also a travel body wash included but my husbad grabbed it before I could snap a picture to take it on a recent trip. That’s a brand we already use we knew what to expect. It would have been great to get full size, but travel was good too.

Overall this is a great mix of brands I know and new ones to try. It was mainly very practical items that will all get used in the future. I love getting to try new products through Influenster for free!

Recently I realized that Influenster sent me over $75 worth of product back in June and I never blogged about it! Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf has been one of my favorite perfumes for a while but I’ve never owned it – just tried samples I think. The fragrance notes are: Sambac Jasmine, Centifolia Rose, Cattleya Orchid, Ballerina Freesia, Patchouli. I think I normally don’t like a straight patchouli scent but it smells like there’s some vanilla mixed in. It’s a beautifully floral scent that’s a little dark – not light bright.

A few months ago they released this fragrance oil that you can layer with your perfume to make it last longer. Influenster sent a full size of it (worth $75!!!) and a small dabber bottle of perfume. At the time I didn’t even realize the value, but I decided to use this the other day and a coworker commented on how good I smelled and said she could tell it was Flowerbomb. She said she used to work in fragrance and knew it was pricey. I looked it up on Sephora and sure enough it is! The oil comes with a dropper to help distribute just a little bit. This really is the best product I have gotten to try through Influenster. I have recently seen them working with some very high end beauty brands like Becca, Bite Beauty and Burberry. I would love to get some of those boxes. If I start blogging again, maybe I will!

Influenster Dessange VoxBox

Influenster is a very interesting website where you review products, link your social media sites and they might send you free things! They call their boxes Vox Boxes and they are completely random as to when you might get them. I was lucky enough to try out some new hair products that they will be carrying at Target.

California Blonde Illuminating Shampoo and Conditioner – Here’s the product description: DESSANGE Paris introduces the California Blonde collection, a nourishing hair care system designed to moisturize and protect color treated blonde hair. Blonde is a fragile shade that can lose its luster, fade, and weaken with time, so it is important to protect your shade as soon as you color. The special formula, enriched with passion flower extract, delivers infallible shine and luminosity for a radiant blonde color. This brightening shampoo gently cleanses and nourishes hair to enhance shine, color radiance and softness.

I haven’t noticed a big change in the brightness or color of my hair but I like the way it smells and makes my hair feel. When I get my hair colored in the future I would probably buy this to protect my color.

California Blonde Brass Color Correcting Creme – This is a weekly in shower treatment that has blue pigments to neutralize brassiness and nourish. I haven’t had a chance to try this because 1) you have to leave it on for quite a while and 2) it says on the side to wear gloves as a precaution and I don’t have any and that makes me nervous. It actually gets really great reviews on the target website and no one mentioned wearing gloves so maybe I’ll give it a try.

Overall I was really happy to try out these products since I recently got my hair color treated!

“I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.”

Nail Polish Review

I decided to take advantage of a deal on the Zoya website and try out their polish. I have never used it before but I know they use the brand in some nail salons.

photo 1-67

Anaka – a vibrant purple-toned deep fuchsia-pink with reflective hot pink shimmer and gold microglitter. This is so pretty! Their formula is 5 free, goes on very smooth, and stayed put! I highly recommend this polish brand!

Zara – a vivid blue-toned light purple with strong golden duochrome shimmer. This was the main reason I bought from Zoya – I never thought I would find a polish with my name let alone a purple which is my favorite color! I am so happy to have this amazing polish in my collection.

Teigen – a full-coverage pink toned cranberry with a copper liquid metal. I love shimmer colors and Zoya has a lot of great ones to pick from!

Mini Charlotte – These minis were free with the deal I got. This is kind of a khaki creme color that I don’t totally love but that’s ok.

Mini Anais – This is a shimmery dark gray that I really like!

Mini Severine – This gold shimmer chrome is very pretty.

I also got these Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes from Influenster for completing a badge from one of their earlier boxes. I got the shades Trouble Maker, I Lilac You, and Strawberry Shields. The lavender shade is the only one still available on the website. I tired the purple and it is super dark on. Overall I like these polishes ok, but since they are supposed to be a base and top coat all in one they are pretty thick and kind of goopy.

Have you used either of these polish brands before?

Influenster #VitatalityVoxBox

This is my second FREE box from Influenster. It’s a great site where you take quizzes and review products in order to get free products! It only took me about a month before I got my first box. If you would like an invite, leave your email below or send me a message. Let’s see what I got!

Here’s the product card with all the info on it.

photo 5

First Degree Advanced Burn Cream – This seems sort of like Neosporin – I don’t get burns often but this is a good thing to keep in the medicine cabinet.

photo 4

Elizabeth Arden FLAWLESS FUTURE Serum – This anti aging serum has mini caplets that activate when dispensed which seems pretty cool. It reinforces skins moisture, evens skin tone and texture, and reduces sings of wrinkles. I’ll give it a try tonight and see how I like it. I’m sure I won’t buy it though because the full size is $60 – besides I prefer my serums to have retinol for anti aging.

photo 3

Softlips Cube – This definitely reminds me of the round EOS lip balms you see at Target, but I still like it. It has SPF and softens lips – I felt a tingly sensation when it went on. I got the Vanilla Bean scent but it also comes in Fresh Mint and Pomegranate Blueberry. I got two coupons for $1 off Softlips cubes so maybe I’ll get some more for friends.

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance – These tampons have a light scent plus odor shield – I don’t usually buy scented tampons but I’ll still give these a try. It’s always great to have backups!

photo 2

Pure Leaf Iced Tea – I LOVE iced tea! I am so excited that I got the Lemon flavor because I saw that some other people got unsweetened which I would have liked a little less. I haven’t tasted it yet but I bet it’s extra yummy because it’s fresh brewed!

Bikini Ready Energy Gummies – Select Influensters got a whole bottle of these gummies – as you can see I was not one of them. This gummie is a B-12 vitamin supplement and an energy booster. It says it helps boost metabolism to maximize your workout – let’s just be honest I don’t work out very much so I won’t be buying these. I take vitamin gummies but have never had gummie energy booster – I’m a little afraid to try them out.

So that’s my free #VitalityVoxBox with all my goodies from Influenster to test and review. Again, if you want an invite leave your email or message me – I think it’s a great program that gives you free stuff!
