October Target Beauty Box

Target I don’t know how you do it. This box was chocked FULL of products (three full size) for only $10! I’ve said it before but I wish Target would just turn this into a subscription so I don’t have to pay attention to when these go on sale – they sell out FAST!

Goody Ouchless Silicone Lined Hair Elastics – I can never have enough elastics and I like the fun colors of these. The silicone is also different and makes them really grip my hair.

Olly Undeniable Beauty Vitamin Gummies – These have Biotin, Vitamins C & E and Borage Oil to strengthen hair, skin and nails. They tasted good, like grapefruit. I decided to try out some others by this brand because I was almost out of multi vitamins. I ordered the Perfect Women’s Multi in citrus, the Perfect Men’s Multi in blackberry, and Purely Probiotic gummies in tropical mango. Both the multi gummies have a very strong vitamin smell (my husband said like Advocare if you have used that). The flavor was alright for the citrus, but it does leave a vitamin aftertaste in my mouth. These are on the expensive side and I don’t love the smell or taste so I don’t think I’ll be buying these again.

Covergirl Intensify Me Liquid Liner in Black – Liquid liners have been in several of my boxes recently…and I’m OK with that! This is interesting because depending on how you hold it you can get a thin or thick line. Love a full size item!

Hello Spearmint Toothpaste – On the card and online it said we would be getting mojito and I was excited to try that because I like flavored toothpastes. But oh well I will still use this for traveling. They have a few other interesting flavors I would like to try out.

S.W. Basics Certified Organic Face Scrub– This is different than other body scrubs because it comes as a powder and you mix it with water. This is an all organic slightly pricey brand that I have not tried before. It is made with only three ingredients: oat flour, almond flour and sea salt. I haven’t tried this yet but I’m looking forward to it.

Acure Moroccan Argan Oil + Stem Cell Repair Triple Repair Shampoo and Conditioner – I have tried a few face products by this brand but not hair products yet. I’m sure I will love these – they are free of sulfates and safe for color treated hair. Yay!

skinfix Ultra Rich Body Butter – This is fragrance free and very rich buter made of natural ingredients. Not too exciting but good for winter skin.

ROC Retinol Complexion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream – This product is worth $20! This got slightly low ratings on Beautypedia because it is pretty standard moisturizer with a low amount of retinol and Vitamin C. On the Target website it said you should see results after 12 weeks. It’s nice that they included a high value full size product, but this is something I don’t need right now and will gift to my mom.

Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Wardrobe – This was the standout winner of the box for me! I have worn it several times and gotten multiple compliments on it. It is a very different effect – it goes on smooth like a balm or regular lipstick and after about 10 minutes it dries completely and does not budge (even when kissing my husband!). This is a major win for me so I don’t have to reapply. The color is a gorgeous purple pink which is something I don’t really have and such a fall color. This is my second lipstick from Revlon in a Target box and I love them!

Overall this was an amazing box with a great value! All products I will use or gift and the lipstick was a standout winner!

Target Beauty Box August 2015

Target is back at it again with an unthemed box of slightly random things. I decided to give it a go!

Hair Food Moisturizing Mask – I don’t get hair masks very often and to get a full size one is great! I use these about once a week in the shower in place of conditioner just to get more intense moisture. I read that some people loved the smell of this (apricot and honey) I wasn’t wowed by it. I also felt like it provided just a normal amount of moisture – it’s not something I would buy again.

Fekkai Pre-Soleil Hair Mist – At the beginning of the summer I really wanted to try this and sadly now that it’s fall I probably won’t use it for another year. This spray protects hair from sun damage and adds shine.

Covergirl The Super Sizer Mascara by Lashblast – Another mascara! That’s the third in one month! This one looks very promising though with a completely stick straight brush. It got great reviews on My Subscription Addiction so I am excited to try it out.

Crest 3D Whitestrips 1 hr Express – I used to use strips in high school and haven’t since. It’s an interesting product to include in a beauty box. I will be happy to see some results from these.

Olay Active Botanicals Moisturizing Toner – I love skincare so I was really happy to see these. Toner I never get in boxes! This was a great travel size and the formula was very nice. I loved the scent of this product too – I would buy the full size.

Olay Active Botanicals Moisturizing Day Lotion – A wonderful lightweight day lotion except no SPF! I would happily buy other products from this new Olay line though.

Overall this wasn’t the most exciting Target box I’ve ever gotten and there were only three full size items. However the $7 price point is hard to beat. I always enjoy trying new products and that’s what these boxes are about.

Target Head of the Class Beauty Box

Target consistently has amazing beauty boxes, but they sell out so fast! I wish they would open up a subscription every month so I could be sure to get one! This box was only $5 and you get so much bang for your buck!

They always include a coupon for $3 off a $15 beauty purchase which is a nice inclusion.

Yes to Cucumbers 10 count Facial Towelettes – I have bought a full size pack of these before and they are not my favorite wipes. Even though they are “hypoallergenic” I find that they make my skin tingle in a weird way when I use them (especially on my lips). There are other brands I prefer more.

Covergirl Colorlicious Lip Gloss in Give Me Guava – This was a surprising product that I love! This a a great gloss that is not sticky, provides shimmer and shine, and has a great candy smell. The color is a beautiful neutral pink. I am so glad I got this!

photo 3-92

Goody Ouchless Elastics – I can always use more elastics! The colors are fun and I found these to be very tight which is great. There is no metal so they are comfortable to wear.

Herbal Essences Wild Naturals Illuminating Dry Oil Spray – I have never used a product like this before but it adds a lot of shine and moisture. Be careful not to get it on your roots though! It has an amazing tropical spray that I love!

photo 5-73

Wet N Wild Max Volume Plus Mascara – I will never complain about getting mascara in a box – I have a never ending supply. That means I have not tested this out yet but I’m sure I will love it!

photo 4-82

Bathery Pumice Stone – This is something that I have never gotten in a sub box before but I didn’t have one! I’m very glad to have gotten this, and it works great to get off dead skin in the shower.

Hollywood Fashion Tape – This is also something I have never gotten but I totally needed! Button up tops are super hard for me, I feel like they are always gaping. I put a little of this on and poof that problem was gone! It was a quick and easy fix.

Overall this was an amazing value for this box – I got about four full size products! Were you able to get one of these boxes?

Target Summer Beauty Box

Target periodically releases these beauty boxes and they always sell out super quick. I was able to snag this one. This is not a subscription but a one time purchase. I believe this one was $7.

Olay Regenerist Luminous Hydraswirls Eye Cream – This is a nice sized sample! It is supposed to reduce the look of undereye darkness which thankfully I don’t have much of yet. I passed this on to my mom. It is a hydrating mixture of gel and cream and had a nice cooling sensation going on.

Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Styling Creme – This item varied in boxes and I am happy with what I got. I have tried their dry shampoo before and liked it but never this product. I used it on damp hair before blowing dry and it was great! Lightweight and non greasy this really did make my hair smoother. It is also a really nice sized sample.

photo 5-57

Cutex Advanced Revival Nail Polish Remover Pads – This is a product I’m not too excited about but will be good for travel!

photo 3-75

Sinful Colors Professional Nail Color in Energetic Red – I appreciate that they included a full size polish and this brand is new to me. It looks similar to a few I have so I might be swapping or gifting it though.

Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in Gladiolus – This formula is different because it isn’t waxy like other lipsticks. It provided great color with lasting stay from a few swipes. I really like it! The color is a nice bright red. I would buy more colors if I didn’t already have a bunch of lippies!

As always I’m loving the Target beauty box. It has a great value with several full size or deluxe samples. I hope they keep coming out with these! Were you able to get one?

Target Beauty Box

Woo hoo! Target also has a beauty box, however these are not a subscription but a one time purchase. The one I am reviewing is sold out, but Target just came out with new ones this week! I’ll put more details below. I believe this box was $7 online. It has fewer products overall than Walmart but some great brands.

This NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil is apparently a cult favorite but I just never got the white eyeliner thing. You’re supposed to use it on your lower waterline to make your eyes pop and look bigger but I thought it looked weird on me. Too bad I already used it or I could have swapped it. Oh well maybe I’ll use it next Halloween or something… On the flip side I like this Loreal gloss (both full size BTW). The call it a lipstick but it is definitely a gloss feel. It goes on smooth probably because of the precious micro-oils and stays on pretty well. I got the color Ballerina which is a light nude pink.

So this is a super interesting product by Laneige which is a Target exclusive. It’s called a BB Cushion and it came with three shades. There is a a wet cushion filled with the makeup and you use the little black sponge to press into it then apply it. At first I thought it wasn’t going to do anything but I really liked it! It kind of gave me an airbrushed finish and it had a really nice smell. Too bad this stuff is a little on the pricier side.

This is where I hit the jackpot and why I really bought the box. I LOVE trying out new dry shampoos and this was on my list thanks to Birchbox. I really like the Fekkai brand and this Blowout dry shampoo was no exception. It did it’s job of soaking up oil and I think it kind of smells like apples – it’s lovely and I would buy more. I know this L’oreal Elnett Satin hairspray is also a cult favorite but I wasn’t all that impressed. I will use it up but it didn’t wow me.

While writing this article I have unfortunately come to find out that all 3 of the new beauty boxes are sold out online (dang it I should have just bought them online right when I saw them). At only $5 and $10 they were a steal 0 I’m really hoping they restock them because there was an Acure Organics facial scrub I have been wanting to try. Here’s to hoping!
