Nature Box

Nature Box is a monthly healthy snack box with lots of options! It is $19.95 per month and fully customizable with 5 bags of multi serving snacks. There are many sweet and salty choices for every taste. You can try your first month for free though and they will send you some of their best sellers to sample! Here’s what I got in my first month.

Honey Dijon Pretzels – My husband really likes these pretzel bites because they remind him of his all times favorite snack Gardetto’s. They have a sweet honey mustard dusting on them yet still taste savory. This bag was a little bit bigger than the others.

Sweet Blueberry Almonds – I really like almonds in the first place and these are really good! They have a sweet blueberry coating that makes them very interesting and delicious.

photo 1-83

Strawberry Greek Yogurt Pretzels – These definitely have the sweet and salty thing down. I love the yummy strawberry coating.

Sea Salt Pop Pops – My husband and I love popcorn so I was expecting to love these but they’re really interesting. They are little half popped kernels so they are not fluffy like real popcorn mostly just crunchy and very salty. There are a few other flavors I want to try though.

Big Island Pineapple – This is the first bag we finished and I didn’t get to take a pic! I’m not a big fan of dried fruit so at first I was a little nervous of a big dried pineapple ring, but then I got into them. They provided the sweetness of a dessert that I knew was good for me! I would get these again.

We currently have 15 snacks on our wishlist so I think we will keep getting Nature Box for a while. It will also help keep us (me…) from buying random snacks and cookies when I go grocery shopping. It’s helping us make a small healthy lifestyle change.

Sephora Haul

I recently bought a few things from Sephora to take advantage of a weekly deal they were running where you got a free perfume mini with purchase – lately I have really been into perfume samples and my favorite brand was featured to I went for it. I also used a $25 giftcard I got through Shopkick. If you don’t use Shopkick you should! It’s and app and it is very easy to earn “kicks” just by going through lookbooks on the app, walking into stores (many I already shop at), and by scanning items. This is my third $25 Spehora giftcard I have redeemed. There are many other giftcard choices – my mom always gets Starbucks. Anyway enough about that – let’s talk about what I got.

Caudalie Favorites Set – This has been on my Sephora and Birchbox wishlist for a while. I love gift sets like this because you can try several travel size products without having to commit. This set includes: Beauty Elixir, Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet, Hand and Nail Cream, Lip Conditioner, and Gentle Cleansing Milk. The Beauty Elixir is sort of like a refreshing toner and it has a very herbal spa like scent. The first time I used it it sort of stung my face which was weird. I have used it a couple of times since and it has not done that again. Overall I don’t love it. The Moisturizing Sorbet is a very light moisturizer and it feels very nice. I surprisingly really like the Hand and Nail Cream -itΒ  has a very light scent and feels great. The Lip Conditioner is a plain lip balm that provides intense moisture. The Gentle Cleansing Milk you apply to a dry face and then wash off – I like it! This was a good set to try out some key products, but I’m still hooked on Paula’s Choice skin care.

photo 1-81

Sephora Collection Dry Clean: Solid Brush Cleaner – I decided to get this because my Beauty Blender solid cleanser was running out and this looked fun because it comes with a little scrubby brush. This has argan oil in it and a warm Moroccan fragrance – I love how it smells! I tried using the brush on my Beauty Blender and it tore it up a little bit. From now on I will only use the pink brush on makeup brushes. The cleanser seemed to work well though and I like the case it comes in.

Tocca Simone Deluxe Sample – I have never met a scent from Tocca I didn’t like so I knew I wanted to sample this one. The website describes it as: Sparkling notes of the tropical frangipani flower cut through the salt sea air, as Simone unfolds into creamy layers of watermelon, ylang ylang, and blonde woods. I really love this! It is light and fun and reminds me a little of Princess by Vera Wang.

Sephora Collection Eco Biodegradable Sharpener – I got this because I have an eyeshadow pencil that is pretty big. This fits it perfectly and I love that it comes with a little stick to clean it out. I recommend this because it works and it’s a great price.

photo 3-73

Unfortunately I was hoping for the sample to be as big as this mini bottle I got from Birchbox a while a go. I was a little disappointed in the size but at least it’s better than a tiny spray vial! Currently Sephora has a promotion to get a bag of fragrance samples using code BELOVED if you want to try out some new scents!

Rocksbox #2

This is my second set from Rocksbox which is $19 per month. If you don’t know it’s a subscription box where you get jewelry to borrow for the month – then you can either keep it at a discounted price or send it back, My request was for some statement earrings. Here’s a look at what I got.

photo 1-76

Like last time I am impressed with their packaging – it looks very clean and professional. Also the returns process was very quick and easy. You just use the packaging and shipping label that they provide.

House of Harlow 1960 Trapezio Drop Earrings – I have seen this brand before and have liked some other styles so I was excited to see what I was getting (I believe it is either owned or designed by Nicole Ritchie). However these were not the kind of statement earrings I was expecting. I like color – I was hoping for something big and sparkly and Bauble Bar esque. I wore these once and wasn’t wowed.

photo 5-53

Margaret Elizabeth Faceted Cocktail Ring in Aqua Chalcedony – This is very pretty but also very pricey – my keep cost was $94. I had never heard of this brand before so that was a plus. I like the color a lot but the cost and the fact that it was a little big hindered me from purchasing.

photo 1-77

Ashiana London Hammered Gold Layered Necklace – I wore this twice and actually really liked it. It’s different from any other necklace I have because of the layers and gold medallions.

Another great thing about Rocksbox is that you get $10 of Shine Spend each month to use on anything in your box, but this money doesn’t roll over. If you want to try out Rocksbox use the code ZARABFF5 to get the first month for free – if you’re not sold you can cancel after that but I’ll bet you will love it! The brands they use are high quality and on trend. If you have any other questions leave me a comment!

April Birchbox

For April Birchbox partnered with Rifle Paper Co. for a beautiful box design. There was also a few products to choose from for extra add ons that month. I got some good products this month – let’s dig in!

photo 3-71

Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator – I’ve been wanting to try this face wash for a while because it seems like one of those cult products. It gets almost five stars on Birchbox and great reviews. I agree – it’s a good scrub! It has very fine beads to mimic microdermebrasion and papaya enzymes to help remove the dead skin cells. I also think it’s not to harsh which is important.

Laqa & Co Lip Lube in Honeypot – Yayyyyy this stuff is great! This color is a spot on pink. I’ve previously gotten a coral color and didn’t like it, but this one makes up for it.

photo 2-77

Obliphica Treatment Hair Serum – This is a superfruit infused serum made to repair dry and damaged hair and it smells great! I have used it several times on damp hair before blow drying and it works really well.

Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream – I’ve tried this before in a different scent I think form a swap. It’s not the best compared to other shave creams I’ve tried but it’s good for travel. They have a lot of interesting scents (the almond body butter smells great) but this blueberry one isn’t the best. I’m also getting a little sick of seeing this brand in so many boxes! Also one bottle is $20 – I would never spend that much on shaving cream!

photo 1-78

Jelly Pong Pong Glow Getter Hilighter Gel – This looks like a mini nail polish and even has the same type of brush…which is just kind of weird to me. However it’s a decent hilighter with a subtle shimmer that goes on easily. I believe it is full size too, so worth more than the cost of the box!

Look at this gorgeous box inspired mani that Birchbox posted! I would love to try this out but I’m not too good at nail art and I would only be able to do my left hand, but maybe I’ll give it a try! What did you get in your box this month?

Birchbox Lovely Day Limited Edition Box

Every couple of months Birchbox comes out with a new limited edition box and I carefully watch to see if it would be a good one. This month they had the Lovely Day Box which they were advertising for Mother’s Day but I bought one for myself (don’t worry I got something else amazing for Mom). So here’s the scoop: it’s still available for $62! Don’t forget to add on the mystery sample pack and try one of these coupons before you buy: TAKEOFF20, COMEBACK20, MOBILE20, WELCOMEOFFER20, TAKEOFF10.

As always the packaging is gorgeous and gift worthy. They also included a card with the product descriptions. Let’s dig in!

photo 4-57

Cargo Blush in Cannes – This is a vary large tin of blush and I have heard good things about this brand. Unfortunately I do not think think peach color will work for my skin tone. This is good for warm tones and my pale skin is cool – one of the other varying colors would have worked better. I am trying to swap this. (It must me popular though because it’s out of stock right now on Birchbox).

Jouer Hydrating Lipstick in Meg – This is another product where the colors will vary and I got one I don’t love wah wahhhh. I am familiar with this formulation from my recent Jouer Matchbox and it rocks but this color is described as a “creamy honey pink”. It just looked too close to my actual lip color and I’m afraid it will wash me out. I much prefer bright and fun lip colors anyway. Trying to swap this too…bummer.

photo 1-72

Living Proof Nightcap Overnight Hair Perfector – I think this will be the fifth product I have sampled by this relatively new brand and they all rock and smell AMAZING! I have a full size of the PhD 5-in-1 Styling Treatment and it’s great! I used this the other night on wet hair and it felt soft the next morning and helped hold my waves. I actually got a compliment the next day!

Rituals Foaming Shower Gel – I like the formula of this – very similar to a shaving cream. The scent (Hammam Delight) eucalyptus and mint is not my favorite scent. It’s too fresh when I prefer sweet fruity scents.

photo 5-50

Harney and Sons Assorted Teas – Y’all I LOVE tea so this was very exciting to get. I got 7 different flavors including Caribe, Earl Grey Supreme, PomegranateΒ  Oolong, and Tilleul with Mint. Getting to try out multiple flavors was great! On the Harney and Sons website they actually sell sample sets! I would love to order one of these sometime.

photo 2-71

Nails INC Gel Effect Polish in Porchester Square and Mayfair Lane – These polishes are supposed to give the effect of gel without a UV lamp through plasticiser technology (whatever that is). I tried out the gray color and I like the formula and brush, but the bottle cap is bulky. It chipped the next day unfortunately.

photo 3-65

Greenleaf Bella Freesia Candle Tin – This scent is a clean blend of freesia, white tea, amber and cotton blossom. I like it – it’s slightly floral but not overpowering. I wish this company had other scents on the BB website because I feel like $10 is a good price for the size.

photo 4-58

Davines Anti Aging Hand Cream – I love this brand and I love this cream! It has a light floral scent (just like their hair products) and packs a punch with great anti aging ingredients. It’s a winner in my book!

Illume Go Be Lovely Demi Perfume – We sell this brand at Anthropologie so I had smelled the candles before but had not tried the beauty products. You could have gotten one of two scents and YAY I got the one I wanted! Coconut Milk Mango is so yummy and tropical. I also love roller balls so this is perfect with gorgeous packaging.

photo 3-70

Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum – This is a pretty expensive product to lighten discolorations (which I don’t have), but I’ve enjoyed getting to finally try out a product from this brand. They use ingredients from grapes (hence the vino) for an all natural treatment. It feels very nice going on because it’s oil free.

Overall I love this box! It’s a good deal and a great way to sample a wide range of products. I would have to say my favorite things are the tea and perfume! This would make a great Mother’s Day present and I bet you can still get it in time!
